Stefan Claudio Specogna, a 32-year-old Swiss man volunteering in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, was pressured to amputate his personal arm after a black bear bit him.
The incident occurred on Jan. 25 when Specogna was feeding the bear by reaching into its cage, and it latched onto his arm, as reported by the Bangkok Publish.
In a determined try to free himself and fearing for his life, Specogna used a knife to sever his arm from the bear’s grasp.
