Ed Sheeran wasn’t the one one who gave props to a Singaporean musician over the weekend collectively with his surprise guest JJ Lin. When Ok-pop group Stayc thrilled followers at their first concert in Singapore at The Star Theatre on Friday (Feb 16), they included a rendition of homegrown singer-songwriter Sezairi’s It is You.
As a half of their world tour Teenfresh, the girl group talked about that that they had prepared a “actually well-known” music to shock their Singapore followers.
The hit music It’s You by Singaporean singer-songwriter Sezairi has amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify. Launched in 2018, it is a platinum file in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, along with a gold in Taiwan.
The native singer, who was the first native artist to have achieved such a feat, took to X to share the Stayc’s cowl, writing “SICKKKKKK”.
